In light of the recent global outbreak of COVID-19, TAHA has made the decision to postpone the 2020 Texas Affiliate Camp (TAC) to a date to be determined later. We are in constant communication with local health and medical professionals, USA Hockey, the NHL and the Dallas Stars as we navigate the uncertainty of the situation. The situation continues to change rapidly and we appreciate the patience and understanding of everyone involved. In the end, the safety of all those inolved remains our top priority. As soon as we have further information to share, we will do so.

2019 TEXAS AFFILIATE CAMP
The Boys Texas Affiliate Camp (TAC) will be held at the Children's Health StarCenter in Valley Ranch March 22-24, 2019.
The objective of TAC is to evaluate the Affiliate’s top players at their respective position and age group (Boys: 2002, 2003, 2004, & 2005). Based upon each player’s performance in a series of structured drills and scrimmages, TAC evaluators will select a limited number of players at each age group and position to represent TAHA at the Rocky Mountain District (RMD) Player Development Camp, which is scheduled for May 10-13th in Dallas for the 2002-2004 age groups and June 15-20th in Colorado Springs for the 2005 age group. Similar to last year, our TAC evaluators will be experienced hockey coaches from outside the state of Texas and Oklahoma. Our goal is to improve the integrity and consistency of the player evaluation process by eliminating the natural biases that can occur when coaches are evaluating groups of players that include those from their own team and/or association.

Please remember, TAC is intended for our top players at each birth year. While the registration process is open, we would request that coaches speak with their players about which players fit this category.
NOTE: All registrations will be validated. Any player attempting to register before they are eligible will be disqualified from participation in TAC. Please also note that, in fairness to all those on the ice, if there are players who clearly “don’t belong” with the group they will be cut after the first skate.
Additional Requirements:
- All registrants must be citizens of the United States
- All registrants must be have official permanent residence in the state of Texas or Oklahoma
- All registrants must be members in good financial standing of their respective Association and with USA Hockey
Additionally, please remind all potential participants that if they register for TAC, they are also committing (if selected to advance) to attend the District Level Camps (May in Dallas for 2002, 2003 and 2004 Birth years, June in Colorado Springs for 2005 Birth year). Registered players will receive details on the camp in early March.
