Affiliate Coach In Chief Job Description
Overview
Each District Coach-In-Chief shall appoint at least one Local Affiliate Coach-In-Chief whose responsibility will be to assist and train local coaches in each association in supporting the CEP and the American Development Model (ADM).
Primary Responsibilities
1. Serve as the communication link between the CEP and the local associations.
2. Ensure that each local association has an individual in place to serve as the hockey director (also known as coaching director or formerly referred to as the ACE director).
3. Promote age-specific skill development and encourage the implementation of the ADM.
4. Plan and conduct Continuing Education Clinics to train association hockey coaches.
5. Assist associations in establishing and maintaining a resource center with USA Hockey materials.
6. Deliver parent education to local associations with the support of CEP personnel and ADM managers.
7. Follow through on facilitating the curriculum that is created by the Coach-In-Chiefs and the National Office. Stay in-line with the direction and vision of the CEP.
8. Assist with facilitating and conducting coaching clinics during clinic season.
