TAHA 2020-21 Season Tryout Dates Announced

TAHA 2020-21 SEASON YOUTH (BOYS & GIRLS) TRYOUT DATES

Texas Amateur Hockey Association 2020-21 Season Youth | Girls Tryout Dates Effective January 28, 2020

In order to create fair, reasonable, and competitive play, TAHA has adopted the earliest tryout schedule below for the 2020-21 season. Dates posted are “no earlier than” and are applicable to ALL of the Affiliate member associations (DFW & Non-DFW). Member associations, at their discretion, may hold tryouts later than the dates posted below, but not any earlier.

NOTE: No tryout for any of the dates below may commence prior to 6:00am on the date posted.

Tryouts may be held and players signed:

• Youth Tier I – Tuesday, April 7, 2020, or after.
• Girls Tier I & Tier II – Tuesday, April 7, 2020, or after.
• Youth 14U Tier II and 14U, 12U & 10U House/Rec - Saturday, May 30, 2020, or after.
• Youth 18U & 16U Tier II and House/Rec – Saturday, June 13, 2020, or after.

Provisions: Any team that conducts tryouts (players on the ice) on the dates established for Tier II must be able to register that team as a TAHA/USA Hockey sanctioned Tier II team AND be eligible for placement/participation in the State Tournament. All players who register and commit to such teams must comply with the TAHA Tier II community-based rule.

NOTE: Should any team that conducts tryouts on the designated Tier II dates fail to register as Tier II (for any reason) and is not eligible for placement/participation in the State tournament, the member association will be fined $5,000 (per offending team) and that association will not be allowed to participate in the following year’s State Tournament at any level.
