Did you ever think about participating in another facet of ice hockey?

Ice Hockey is growing in Texas and we need more officials. If you are at least 18 years old and want to experience another part of our game, here is your chance.

Officiating allows you to begin, expand or renew your participation in the game, have fun, make new friends and experience new excitement.  And for those of you who have played, coached or reached a point where the opportunities to advance have lessened, officiating is a great opportunity to continue your passion for our game.

On Saturday - July 22, 2017, TAHA, the Dallas Stars and USA Hockey will be conducting “Try Officiating” at the Dr. Pepper StarCenter - Farmers Branch. “Try Officiating” will get you acquainted with USA Hockey’s Officiating Program, what it takes to become an official, the basics of officiating and what it offers. We will also briefly discuss basic rules and positioning. Then, you will go onto the ice to skate and get the opportunity to blow the whistle in a game.  No commitment is required at this time other than to show up. Attendees are to bring a note pad, pen or pencil, helmet (no facemask), skates and a whistle.

If you think this is a challenge that you would enjoy, and an opportunity to participate in our game in another way or to start a career in officiating, then the time is right for you.

There NO COST to participate, but pre-registration  is required.

Must be 18 years old or older.

Registration begins at 2:30 P.M.  Meeting starts at 3:00 P.M.
